Bulgarian book exposits genesis of Chinese civilization

    The new Bulgarian book entitled "Genesis and development of the Chinese civilization" was presented in the big hall of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences on Wednesday.

    The book is the first research on this topic in the Bulgarian historiography, said Chairman of the Bulgarian Archives State Agency Professor Georgi Bakalov.

    To Professor Hu Guande from the Archaeological Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, it is a profound research with a great scientific and theoretical value.

    This book will help Bulgarian readers to understand the Chinese history, said Wu Guang, cultural counselor in Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria.

    The author of the book Mariana Malinova is a research fellow in the Institute of History, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. She has a PhD in Chinese history and over 50 scientific publications about the Chinese antiquity and culture.

    She worked more than 10 years on this book, said Malinova, adding that she stressed generally on the genesis of the Chinese civilization in the book.

    The Institute of History and the Bulgarian Academy of Science are the publisher of this book. It is published with the financial support of the China International Culture Association and Ministry of Culture of China.
