Show 'Ode to Motherland' staged in Jiangsu

A remarkable performance entitled Ode to Motherland was staged at Gulou Citizen Square in Jiangsu province on the afternoon of Sept. 18 to mark the 60th anniversary of the People's Republic of China.

Organized by the Xuanwu District government of Nanjing municipality, the capital of East China’s Jiangsu province, the event unveiled a series of celebratory activities scheduled for the following three weeks in the district.

Participating in the performance were students, PLA soldiers, office workers and professional singers and dancers from Xuanwu district.

Thousands of audience members and passers-by applauded and enjoyed the performance.
