Top three winners of the Beijing regional finals of the 59th Miss World China Pageant

Yu Weiwei, a sophomore majoring in music, won on August 15th the Beijing regional final of the 59th Miss World China Pageant.

Yu said she had gradually gained confidence during the contest and made many friends.  She was one of 39 finalists from a total 500 competitors in Beijing.

The top three winners from each region will compete for the national title this October.

The Miss World pageant, established in 1951, advocates Beauty with a Purpose. It is dedicated to promoting world peace, cultural exchanges, setting examples of outstanding women, and helping needy and disabled children.

Yu Weiwei, Zhan Yang and Sun Lin were the top three winners of the Beijing regional finals of the 59th Miss World China Pageant.
