Poland Opole Confucius Institute Held “Chinese Lacquerware Art” Opening

June 19, 2011, organized by Poland Opole Confucius Institute, the exhibition of "Chinese Lacquerware Art " launched opening ceremony in the Moszna Castle suburbs of Opole. Chinese Embassy in Poland, Cultural Counselor Ms Wu Guang and secretary Ms. Huo Siliang came specially from Warsaw and attended the opening ceremony. Assistant to Mayor of Opole Mr. Janusz Karpinski, Curator of Silesia Museum Ms. Urszula Zajaczkowska, Vice President of Opole University of Technology Professor Marek Tukiendorf, Opole Confucius Institute staffs and the community more than fifty people attended the opening ceremony. Cultural Counselor of Chinese Embassy in Poland, Ms. Wu Guang hosted the opening ceremony of "Chinese Lacquerware Art". This exhibition will display in Moszna Castle for two weeks.

Opole's Moszna Castle is a centuries-old fine castle and embodies the castle architecture in Silesia region. Especially Moszna Castle as the movie "Harry Potter" viewfinder enjoy a high reputation, very popular in local residents and tourists from around the world. The lacquer painting, lacquerware and other exhibits of "Chinese Lacquerware Art" in the exhibition, both in the production process or artistic, have reached a very high level, representing the aesthetic characteristics of traditional Chinese arts and crafts, reflecting deep heritage of Chinese art. Therefore, the "Chinese Lacquerware Art" deliberately arragement in the Moszna Castle, display the Chinese art with ancient castles of Europe each other, complement each other, creating a good atmosphere for cultural exchanges between China and Europe.

After the opening ceremony, invitation by Opole Confucius Institute, two Polish musicians for the opening presented a wonderful chamber music concert. Poland is the homeland of Chopin, a romantic music country. In the opening of "Chinese Lacquerware Art" playing classical music, both musical temperament infiltration of the Polish nation's persistent in heart, but also showing infinite yearning of host on traditional Chinese art. To coincide with the oldtime exhibition environment and cultural taste of art exhibits, for interpretation of antiquity, the pianist Ms. Lucyna bringed her collection of 18th century piano to perform on-site, working in the London Philharmonic Orchestra Polish violinist Ms.Maria Otdak turned her violin to the ancient timbre. With violin bow pulling and piano keyboard playing, soothing and beautiful Bach started gradually. Since then the audience were slowly taken into a lofty, deep and rich art world. Bach's music echoed in the elegant and beautiful quiet places around Chinese lacquerware, carved beams and painted columns were likely invited to dance by music, deeply and enthusiasticly to participate in this movement in one after another. The East guests from far away - those quiet and nice lacquer works were silently listenning. At this moment, the painting, music, castles, without any help outside, already consonance together. In art atmosphere created by the musician, the audience's heart seamless blended in the great beauty of tone. In music gap the applause sounded gradually, more and more dense, and finally merged into the surging tide. Finally the two musicians had a special dedication of "Clouds and Moon", a traditional Chinese folk music played by Western classical instruments. Eastern and Western music gathered a harmonious picture, this picture dazzling, beautiful, so that the audience did not consciously immersed in the pleasure of the music. After the opening ceremony of chamber music, all participants enjoyed the Chinese lacquer works together, this aesthetic collision with a blend of Eastern and Western art, let people understanding that a bridge for cultural exchange between China and Europe set up through art enjoy across time and space, whether Europeans or Chinese mind are interlinked

Poland Opole Confucius Institute uesed actively involve in local cultural activities, committed to advocacy and promotion of Chinese culture, promote cultural exchange between China and Europe.
