2011 Nyingchi Peach Blossom Festival Is On the Way

According to Nyingchi Tourism Board Tibet, the 9th Nyingchi Peach Blossom Festival will be taken place from March 25th to April 25th.

“We have successfully organized the previous 8 times of the well known Nyingchi Peach Blossom Festival. This festival has turned out to be one of the most significant tourism festivals in Tibet. Through the celebration of this festival, some areas in Tibet especially Nyingchi have gained more concerned by worldwide travelers,” said Wang Jun, the Minister of Tourism Nyingchi.

Nyingchi Peach Blossom Festival 2011 has been extended to be Nyingchi Peach Blossom Cultural Festival. Upon the opening ceremony of the festival, some traditional and cultural activities will be taken place as well.

Besides that, the tourism festival as well as the travel routes dedicated for this festival are widely spread across 7 adjacent county of Nyingchi. There are many activities that can be participating by worldwide travelers. Besides appreciating the beauty of peach blossoms, visitors can also involve in peach plantation, rafting on Yarlung Zangbo River, enjoy photographing as well as tasting the delicious traditional culinary of the locals.
