1. Chow Yun-Fat

Despite not being active for at least 10 of the Hong Kong Film Awards’ 30 years, the legendary Chow Yun-Fat still has the most nominations for Best Actor than anyone else, with 14 nominations and three wins:

3. Tony Leung Chiu-Wai

5. Allen Fong Yuk-ping

Director Allen Fong Yuk-ping’s movies of the late 1970s and early 1980s have had little influence in the mainland but the three-time winner has been a favorite of Hong Kong Film Awards jurors. His neorealist style of Italian filmmaking in which he tells personal or real-life stories is a unique contrast to standard Hong Kong films.

6. Ann Hui
