Chinese Modern Film Tour in Poland by Confucius Institute at Adam Mickiewicz University, Poland

In order to meet the needs for understanding of Chinese culture, Confucius Institute at Adam Mickiewicz University holds a Chinese modern film tour in Poland Spring 4th to Spring 11th,2011. Four Chinese films, Jia Zhangke’s master pieces included, are on in Confucius Institute in Krakow, Confucius Institute in Opole and Confucius Institute at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan.

The Chinese modern film tour is very well prepared with careful plan, publicity and arrangement. An academic lecture about the Chinese movie culture is held in advance by Miss Mart? Mazurek, expert on Chinese movie culture and art, giving detailed illustration and demonstration or remarks to the films to be on, so as for the audience to make it easier to comprehend the arts and content in Chinese modern films.

In Poznan, the Chinese modern films are on in the cinema “Muza” in the center of the city. Audience will be at the cinema an hour earlier waiting. Each time the audience is very crowded and packed. And each time there is an illustration about the movie by Polish teachers from Confucius Institute for audience’s better understanding. And the Polish teachers of Chinese have spent tremendous efforts to write Polish subtitles simultaneous with the film shows.
