Qiandao Lake
By admin on 2015-01-12

Qiandao Lake (Chinese: 千島湖, lit. lake of a thousand islands) is a man-made lake located in Chun'an County, Zhejiang, China, formed since the completion of the Xinanjiang hydroelectric station. It is known for its clear, and sometimes, drinkable water, such as that used to produce the renowned Nongfu Spring brand of mineral water. It is also home to lush forestation (over 90%), and exotic islands, its more popular attractions include Bird Island, Snake Island, Monkey Island, Lock Island (featuring supposedly the world's biggest lock), and Island to Remind You of Your Childhood.

The best time to visit Qiandao Lake is in autumn and winter, when there is less rainfall. Fine weather, cool and fresh air and clear water are really enjoyable. Do sample the distinctively cooked seafood and some local food here. Take home souvenirs like inkstones, hemp embroideries and products made of pearls.

When tourists enjoy China travel in Zhejiang, travelers will find every island in Qiandao Lake has its own characteristics and the spectacular scenery, especially the unusual Karst topography. Tourists can delightfully stop and stay among the stunning islands in each Zhejiang tour.

For tourists to get closer to the islands, Earl Cruises are gracefully staying in the ferry of Qiandao Lake. Earl Cruises has the accommodation of 182 persons and guests are allowed to enjoy the ambience in the suites in each Zhejiang tour. Tourists can enjoy the perfect dining, the joyful entertainment and the beautiful scenery whether in the daytime or in the twilight.
