Napoleon's Favorite Pipe to be Auctioned

Victoria Crake from Lyon & Turnbull holds a pipe bearing Napoleon's double eagle armorial crest as she poses for photographers in Edinburgh, Scotland March 25, 2010. The pipe which is reported to have been Napoleon's favourite will be auctioned on the 31st March and comes with a hand written note stating that the it was purchased at the sale of his affects, Longwood House, St Helena, 1821, from the Briar collection. Longwood House was the residence of Napoleon Bonaparte during his exile on the island of Saint Helena, from 10 December 1815 until his death on 5 May 1821. Photo: CFP.
