By admin on 2014-12-29

The 2010 China National Quintessence Oil Painting Art Exhibition has sparked a renewed interest in Chinese traditional culture in Hong Kong and Taiwan due in no small part to the most famous painting, Drunken Beauty.

The exhibition got under way at the National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing. The seven-day exhibition was the first large-scale art exhibition held at the center, attracting more than 100,000 visitors and over 200 local media.

State Councilor Liu Yandong and Zhou Tienong, vice-chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee, praised the show after seeing the prized artworks.
