Chinese Culture Warmly Welcomed in South Carolina, USA

The annual Spartanburg International Festival was held at Barnet Park in Spartanburg, South Carolina, USA .October 6, 2012, People all around the world joined together to enjoy an amazing variety of food, clothing, and culture show.


Visitors were looking at the wonderful Chinese ties with various panda and dragon designs

Yongmei Hu and Zhu Han, two teachers from Confucius Institute of Presbyterian College, set up a stand in this Festival with carefully prepared traditional ethnic handicrafts, such as Chinese knots, Guizhou batik, Peking Opera masks, Chinese paper fans, and ties decorated with pandas and dragons. Those two teachers wrote Chinese names for visitors from various countries with Chinese traditional brush pens, putting names on the Zodiac bookmarks. Visitors were very happy and excited to get a Zodiac bookmark with their Chinese names on, thumbing up and saying, ”It is so awesome!”


This little girl loved the fan so much!

On October 20th, teachers from Confucius Institute at Presbyterian College attended 2012 Clinton Fall, promoting Chinese culture in the local area.

Every year, Confucius Institute at Presbyterian College participates in various activities to promote Chinese culture.
