March 8 is the Open House in all the middle schools in Coppell Independent School District. The parents must visit the classrooms to learn the achievements obtained by their children in the school and they should have a conversation with the teachers of all subjects the children have attended. The four female volunteer Chinese teachers working in the Coppell Confucius Classrooms affiliated to the Confucius Institute at UT Dallas try their best to organize the American holiday-style Open House to introduce and discuss the students’ achievements in the Confucius Classrooms. They experienced a special March 8 with the students and their parents in America.

The volunteer Chinese teachers have been busy for several days for this special day. Four Confucius Classrooms have been decorated full of Chinese culture by the Chinese teachers before. These days students' various assignments, such as Chinese characters, the paper-cutting, traditional Chinese painting, lantern, etc. have been put up on the wall or put on the desks to make the classrooms full of beautiful things in eyes and more colorful with Chinese characteristics. The video to show the students’ reading Chinese poems and performing the idiom story let parents eye-opening. The students are also proud of their achievements in Chinese learning and make up their mind to learn Chinese language and culture with full confidence.
Coppell Middle School West held a large report back performance for the parents on March 8. The Chinese teacher team from China Three Gorges University offered up ""Chinese Style Joint-singing" as the final important show. Gentle and beautiful songs let the parents and students intoxicated in the performing hall unwilling to leave for a long time.
