Jilin Beidahu Ski Resort was built in 1993. It is located inside the boundary of Jilin City, 53 kilometers away from the downtown area of the city, and 141 kilometers away from that of Changchun City. The 8th and 9th National Winter Sports Meets, and the 6th Asian Winter Games were held successfully here.  
 
Beidahu Ski Resort has the largest skiing slope and the best facilities and natural resources in China. As one of the first recognized Four-A scenic areas, it is an important national winter tourism and training base for winter sports. The skiing slopes totaling 17.5 square kilometers run in twists and turns on nine peaks with an average altitude of over 1200 meters in this region. The main peak, Nanlou Mountain, is the highest, 1404.8 meters, in Jilin Province. Beidahu Ski Resort is surrounded by mountains on its three sides, making it an ideal skiing place with light wind, proper tempreture, deep and good-quality snow storage.

Its 13 alpine trails total more than 20 kilometers in length with the steepest pitch of 32 degrees and the minimum of 7 degrees. Seven cable ways were made purposefully to match the alpine trails. In addition, there are a round cross-country trail, a biathlon shooting base totaling 7,040 square meters, two ski jumps, an aerial skiing jump and a dryland sled trail.

The 8th and the 9th National Winter Sports Meets were held here successfully thanks to its unique climatic condition, unparalleled location, convenient transportation and tailor-made service package. Facilities in all sites have been proved good enough to hold international sports events. In particular, the alpine trails, U-shaped site, biathlon shooting base, cross-country skiing and freestyle aerial skiing sites are considered topnotch at home and abroad, which are suitable for all kinds of events such as downhill race, slalom, giant slalom, cross-country and ski jumping and so on.

Beidahu is now able to receive 3000 tourists every day, and can offer accomodations for 600 people at the same time. After further development and construction, Beidahu Ski Resort will finally reach the standards of hosting the winter Olympic events, and thus become the first-class ski resort around the world.

Equipment and Facility
Beidahu has already become a topnotch ski resort in Asia and a well-known one around the world due to its best natural resources, largest scale, most advanced equipment and facilities. It is now able to host the comprehensive intercontinental and single international snow sports events.

Snow-making Facilities
Beidahu has the best snow-making system in China. It has 37 American-made snow-making machines which are capable of making snow for an area of 50 hectares and a length of 10 kilometers.

Cale Facilities
Seven calbe ways totaling 11 kilometers in length make it the first among the skiing sites in China. The 6-person cable-car system introduced from Austria is the most advanced one that was initially constructed and used among the domestic skiing sites in China.  

Accomodation
Beidahu Athlete Village Hotel：The Athlete Village is a four-star hotel. It is inside the Beidahu Ski Resort, with a floor area of 14,129 square meters, 188 guest rooms and 429 beds. Such facilities as tinny bar, electronic coffer, PC internet connection and 40-channel satellite TV and so on are available in each room. With a multifunctional catering system at the Chinese/western/Islamic food restaunts, music bar, cafe, VIP rooms of all kinds, the hotel is able to provide the guests with a cozy environment to rest and relax. 

The Body-building Center has all kinds of equipment. At the Rcreation Center, there are such facilities for KTV, chess and card, snooker, pingpong,internet connection and sauna and so on. The Business Center works around the clock. In addition, 500 parking lots are available outside the hotle. Transportation
Beidahu Ski Resort is an international skiing site which in China is the most accessible to the downtown areas.Therefore, coming from other places via Jilin City to Beidahu is very convenient, with various transport choices available for visitors to make.
