Top 5 US Exports to China
We all know that the United States gets many of its goods from China. A significant portion of those imports are laptop computers, cell phones, and televisions. But did you know that the US sends many exports of wholesale products to China as well? It's true: China does a lot of business with the US and it's not all exports. Here are the top six Chinese imports from the United States this year:
Soybeans - Billions of dollars worth of soybeans are sent from the United States to China each year. The US is the world's leading producer of soybeans, which are loaded with protein and is commercially used in animal feed and pre-packaged meals.
Aircrafts and Parts- China may be one of the world's leading producers in high tech devices, but the United States is still ahead in the field of aircraft manufacturing. Several billions of dollars in non-military aircrafts and parts are exported to China every year.
Computer Parts, Accessories, and Processors - In an ironic twist, the United States exports a few billion dollars worth of these items to China each year which are used to make laptops, cell phones, and televisions which they, in turn, export to the United States.
Aluminum Waste - Large amounts of recycled aluminum are sent to China every year. Aluminum is used for a variety of different products produced in China including transportation vehicles such as cars and bicycles, packaging (cans), and a variety of other wholesale products.
Silicon - The United States has a large supply of silicon which it uses to make computer microchips and nearly a billion dollars worth of silicon is sent to China each year for this very purpose.
Alloy Steel - This specific kind of steel has magnetic properties that are necessary in engines of transportation vehicles ranging from cars to jet planes. The Chinese do not export many automobiles to other countries, but they do produce millions of them each year and sell them domestically.
