HIT Is Certificated with the Quality Authentication for Overseas Study in China(as the 1st batch)

The first batch signing ceremony of Quality Authentication for Foreign Students’ Study in China was held in Beijing on March 9th. On behalf of Harbin Institute of Technology, the Vice Headmaster, Mr. Ren Nanqi signed the agreement at the ceremony. Thus making Harbin Institute of Technology one of the first batch of certificated universities for foreign students.

The quality authentication process was initiated by China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIC) as a third party. This process aims at promoting the foreign students’ study affairs to develop in a healthy and orderly way. Projects like this also aim to establish and perfect the quality guarantee system for international study. This certification process will be implemented under the relevant procedures of ‘the Regulation of Quality Authentication for Foreign Students’ Study in China’ and ‘the Indicator System of Quality Authentication for Foreign Students’ Study in China’. Twenty-eight universities are included in this first batch of the quality authentication process. Among them are universities such as Peking University and Fudan University, etc. They have not only achieved prominent achievements in foreign students’ study in China, but also exert a great influence on the issue of cultivation of international students that are funded by the Chinese Government Scholarship.

Officers from the Department of International Cooperation and Department of International Students also attended this signing ceremony.
