An info session of the 45th St. Gallen Symposium was held on 30 October 2014 in the IBS building, BFSU. Beijing Foreign Studies University is one of the St. Gallen Symposium organizer’s tours to five universities in Beijing. Among others, there are also Peking University and Tsinghua University.

The St. Gallen Symposium is an annual conference taking place at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, aimed at fostering intergenerational and intercultural dialogue between the decision makers of today and tomorrow. The symposium’s goal is to contribute to the preservation and further development of a social and liberal economic order.

In the info session in BFSU, Dominik Driessen, a member of the International Students’ Committee at the University of St. Gallen, informed postgraduate students in BFSU about how they can qualify for the St. Gallen Symposium and explain to them the various benefits related to a participation in the global conference. Students have the unique opportunity to qualify for an all expenses covered participation in the global conference and to directly discuss with today’s leaders of business, politics and science.

The IBS helped to host the info session and encouraged all postgraduate students to attend the info session which would be of great benefits to them
